Arb-Tech (Fife) Ltd, trading as Arb-Tech Tree Surgery, was established in November 2018 and is based in Kirkcaldy, but operates throughout Fife and Kinross.

Experience

Arb-Tech Tree Surgery was founded by two tree surgeons with over 30 years of tree surgery experience between them. Fed-up with working for someone else, and with the knowledge that there is a shortage of good tree surgeons in Fife, they decided so set up their own company. Arb-Tech’s tree surgeons are young, fit, and trained to LANTRA standards.

Safety

Where relevant and practical, work is carried out to BS3998 (2010 Tree Work – Recommendations) and in accordance with HSE and FISA safety guides. We can fell trees from the base in one single section but safety requirements (especially in residential environments) often requires that the tree is dismantled in sections (sectional felling). We always ensure that the site is cleared, safe and free of debris when the work is completed. If necessary, we can use a stump grinder to clear any tree stumps if they could be considered a hazard.

Arb-tech has in-place the necessary employers and public liability insurances.

Environmental

Trees and plants are great for the environment and convert CO2 into oxygen for us. If they need to be trimmed or removed it is always good to know that the natural materials can be recycled. At Arb-Tech Tree Surgery we don’t just remove the waste material we recycle it. We normally turn small branches and bushes into wood chips on or off-site (depending on the volume of material and site access). Unless felled for timber, tree trunks and large branches are cut into logs for firewood and we allow it to season before selling this as firewood.
